I love the script, excellent.
There are two scenes that I think we might tackle with possible variations, however.
The dog trying to nab his chew toy underfoot of yoga man, and the water bottle squirting scene.
I’d like to have some backup direction for this in case these scenes don’t play out well on the day. Animals and kids, right?
As I’ve elluded to above, I’d like to explore some camera movement and style to add energy and pace.
I think we’ll use a bit of handheld, some camera planted to objects, maybe throw in a drone shot out of a car. In summary, let's keep the camera moving in some way, keeping everything intentional in the process.
There’s an efficiency to shooting in Tasmania. Speed of permits, landscape options, and travel time between shoot locations. Hobart has everything we need. Also, winter is fairly stable. I already have a good idea on which locations will work.
Another bonus, we don’t need any child permits for Tasmania. A working with vulnerable people card for key personnel (myself) and some parental chaperones, we’re good to go.
